Admission to Our Lady’s Bishop Eton RC Primary School Reception Year September 2023
Our Lady’s Bishop Eton Primary School is a Catholic School under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. It is maintained by Liverpool City Council. As a Voluntary Aided School, the Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The co-ordination of admissions arrangements is undertaken by the Local Authority. For the school’s current school year, the Governing Body has set its admissions number at 60.
The window for making an application is now open. Parents/carers are required to make an online application through the education authority where they live i.e. Liverpool, Knowsley etc. The closing date is the 15th January 2023. Information about how to apply for a Reception place is available at:

Please note that along with submitting your application through your local authority, parents/carers have to complete a school Supplementary Faith Form. This can be obtained from the school office or downloaded from the school’s website. This has to be completed and returned, by email, to reception23@ourladysbishopeton.com by the closing date, 15th January 2023. Applications will only be accepted via this email. If you have any difficulties with this please contact the school office.
We are holding an Admissions Meeting on Tuesday 11th October 2022 at 9.30am AND Wednesday 16th November at 2pm. Parents/carers are welcome to come along, meet the headteacher and listen to a presentation about our provision. Application packs will be available to take away. These will also be made available to download from our website.

Please send electronic copies of your application documents, listed below, to reception23@ourladysbishopeton.com
- Supplementary Faith Form
- Proof of baptism (please note that children MUST be baptised before the closing date, 15th January, 2023, to be ranked as a baptised catholic child).
- Birth Certificate
- 2 documents to support proof of address (acceptable documents, all within 3 months, are council tax statement, tenancy agreement or mortgage statement (or proof of exchange of documents) PLUS a recent, within 3 months, utility bill such as gas, electric or water
This list is not exhaustive and the Local Authority reserves the right to request any additional documentation that may be required to evidence a child’s permanent home address. Failure to be able to provide this documentation will result in further Primary school co-ordinated admission arrangements investigation by the school and local authority where applicable. Parents/Legal Guardians will be given 10 school days to provide this information and if the information is not forthcoming after 10 school days then the offer of place may be withdrawn in accordance with Section 2.13 of the School Admissions Code. The local authority has noted an increase in fraudulent address applications over the previous years. Parents/Legal Guardians must be aware that offers have previously been withdrawn in accordance with Section 2.13 of the School Admissions Code. These decisions have been subsequently upheld in the Local Authority’s at independent appeal hearings.
