Prayer and Liturgy
The Nature of Prayer and Liturgy
We believe that Prayer and Liturgy within a Catholic School is an expression of offering glory, honour, praise, and gratitude to God. It signifies our affectionate response, both in spoken word and action, to God’s invitation for a relationship—an invitation made possible through the endeavours of Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer and Liturgy at Our Lady’s Bishop Eton School
Communal Worship at Our Lady’s Bishop Eton serves as a platform for students and staff to unite in the act of worshiping God. With Christ at its core, Prayer and Liturgy, while respecting diverse beliefs and commitments, bears a distinct Catholic character, mirroring the liturgical traditions of the Church. We uphold the understanding that Communal Worship should cater to the religious and educational needs of all participants. In this school, worship constitutes an integral aspect of school life, intricately woven into the fabric of the Catholic tradition.
